Philadelphia
New Delhi Restaurant
|
Proudly promoting its title as the oldest Indian food establishment in Philadelphia, the New Delhi Restaurant on Chestnut Street has been offering delectable (and some say addictive) Indian cuisine to Philadelphians for over twenty years. A staple of students from surrounding college campuses, New Delhi’s reputation amongst Philadelphia’s collegiate set is reflective of its welcoming atmosphere and authentic cuisine. |

The New Delhi Restaurant is a family-owned business. Hardev Singh put his forty years of culinary experience to work when he opened the restaurant that is now run by sons Josh, Rick and Kyle. It continues to serve fresh, aromatic Indian food at affordable prices, and a fulfilling dining experience overall.
Buffet
Buffet anyone? New Delhi serves up the most popular Indian buffet in the city featuring regional vegetarian, lamb and chicken favorites. Served at both lunch and dinner ($8.95 and $11.95, respectively), the buffet includes appetizers and entrees as well as naan bread, basmati rice and a selection of desserts.
Happy Hour
New Delhi is also known for its drink specials. Don’t miss their buck off Happy Hour on Tuesday and Friday when the price of every beer and cocktails is, you guessed it, $1 off. On Wednesday night domestic beers are $2, a glass of wine $4 and cocktails just $5. Catering New Delhi is happy to cater for private gatherings. A mouth-watering selection of “Party Pack” food platters lets you choose the option that’s perfect for both the size and style of your get together. Advance notice of 72 hours is typically required.
